pp cost questions almost always get answered with "it depends." That's true, but it's not much help. Here's what it depends on.

The single biggest cost driver: how many "real" features you need

An app with a login, a list view, and a form is a far simpler build than an app with real-time chat, push alerts, in-app payments, offline sync, and a backend admin panel. Before pricing a thing, ask one honest question. What must this app do on day one? What can wait for version 2? Firms that launch with a focused MVP, or minimum viable product, and add parts based on real user feedback tend to spend less in the end. They also build something people really use. Compare that to firms that try to launch it all at once.

MVP app: typically ₹80,000–₹2,50,000

A minimum viable product, or MVP, covers your core user flow. That's the one or two things the app must do, with clean, working design. This is the right start if you're testing an idea, launching a first version for a live business, or need something out fast.

This tier includes many user roles, backend links like payment, CRM, and stock, push alerts, usage data, and a more polished design system. The range depends a lot on how many systems it connects to. It also depends on whether the app needs a custom backend, or just connects to systems you have now.

Native vs. cross-platform: the real trade-off

  • Native, meaning split Android and iOS codebases, gives the best speed and platform feel. But it roughly doubles the work if you need both platforms.
  • Cross-platform, like Flutter or React Native, builds once and works on both platforms. That's why it's the top choice for most business apps. One codebase, one team to run it, and a much shorter path to both app stores. We build mainly in Flutter for this reason. One build, two platforms, lower long-term cost.
  • Native only makes sense when you need deep, platform-only power, like heavy camera or AR work, or hardware access that cross-platform tools handle poorly.

Costs people forget to budget for

  • App store fees — Apple and Google both charge developer account fees, apart from your build cost.
  • Post-launch upkeep. OS updates, like a new Android or iOS version, can break things that worked fine before. An AMC plan covers this. So your app doesn't quietly stop working six months after launch.
  • Backend hosting — if your app needs a server, that's an ongoing cost apart from the one-time build.
