FUMIGATION
What is Fumigation?
Fumigation is the process wherein insects are eliminated from a structure with the use of lethal gas. Sulfuryl Fluoride gas is used because between the exterior and interior of your home lies a no-mans land inaccessible to even the professional termite inspector.
These spaces, however, are not inaccessible to termites, beetles and other wood destroying insects. Spot treatments often miss them, giving you a false sense of security and wasting your money. A complete treatment with a fumigant gas reaches into every corner of the structure including inaccessible areas, and kills every termite, even those that were never located.
Spot Treatments vs. Whole House Fumigation
- Spot treatments can only treat small localized areas of your infestations due to the construction of a typical home; there are too many inaccessible areas that cannot be reached with a local chemical treatment.
- Majority of termite infestations go unseen for many years and thus would not be detected or included in a spot treatment, leaving enough termites behind to continue their destruction. It only takes a few pairs of reproductive termites left untreated to begin the process all over again.
- Most companies charge the same or more for an inferior spot treatment than what you would pay for a whole structure fumigation.
- No toxic residue is left behind with fumigation.
- Fumigation rids your home of un-wanted pests in addition to termites. Although we do not guarantee the elimination of other insects in our warranty we can provide you with a separate bid for pest control.
